Lie: Madison Cawthorn has often sugggested that the automobile accident that paralyzed him prevented him from fulfilling his dream of attending the Naval Academy and serving his country as a Marine officer. The video above records him suggesting just that in his testament of faith at Patrick Henry College.

Truth: Cawthorn was rejected by the Naval Academy, well before his auto accident, as he himself admitted under oath in a deposition (United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida Case No. 6:16-cv-02240, David Madison Cawthorn Deposition, Oct. 12, 2017, p. 146)

Lie: Maria Bartiromo interviewed Madison Cawthorn on Fox Business News on Aug. 26 and said, “You’ve given service to our country.” Cawthorn said nothing to refute that claim. (FoxBusiness.com)

Truth: Cawthorn never served in the military.
